How do we select a submission?
The editorial board of the “Draw with Us” program is a dynamic team that brings together diverse perspectives and experience. The board is led by Tadeja Pirnat Battelli, founder and editor of the Story Lux magazine collection, who guides the imprint’s vision and mission and directs the editorial work. Members of the MVB team also take part in the selection process by sharing their views. Additionally, illustrators who have already published with us may be invited to provide secondary feedback on submissions. Together, we ensure a high-quality editorial process and carefully select the illustrations to be published in Story Lux magazines or in the publisher’s book editions.
What fee does Multa Verba Books offer illustrators in the “Draw with Us” program?
Within “Draw with Us,” Multa Verba Books offers illustrators a competitive and fair fee, determined individually based on the complexity, scope, intended use of the illustrations, and the illustrator’s status (self-employed in culture, hobby illustrator, art student, or underage illustrator).
In setting fees, we consider the recommendations of the Slovenian Association of Fine Artists’ Societies, adjusted to each illustrator’s experience and status.
Exact amounts are defined in an author’s contract before the start of collaboration. This contract specifies the rights and obligations of both parties and the fee, which depends on the complexity, scope of work, and the illustrator’s status.
