Tadeja Pirnat Battelli first began jotting down Basil’s everyday adventures simply for fun. His elegance, curiosity, and amusing reactions to human behavior were too precious to be forgotten. What started as quick notes soon evolved into stories that practically wrote themselves.
Ana Forjan, a talented illustrator, has captured these real-life moments with her warm and recognizable style. Her illustrations are not just images—they are windows into Basil’s world, full of surprises, humor, and that special elegance only a saluki carries.
